I have been wanting to write for some time now, but with what has been going on I have not. It is Dec. and I find my self thinking of family and looking back over the past year. I must say that I can say that this has been a good year for me. I feel that I am living life fully and even with the pain and my health being where it is, I am glad that I have been truthful to my self. As I look at where my children are in their lives I am proud and happy for them, over the last five years we have added Randy, Jake and Sarah to the family. But more than that our children have become whole in who they are and where they are going. The joy that is in my heart is beyond words for me.

To our children I want to say that we love you with all our hearts. The only thing I would ask of you is to be true to yourselves and live for you and no one else. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of my family and to all that have to come this site. May God bless you all and may we all keep growing.

I have in the past said that I had heard way to much hype about the iPhone. I guess that I may have felt that it was a phone that cost so much more than I would pay or that I could afford to pay for a cell phone. Well in many ways I still feel like that, but I am changing the way I see the iPhone and also the iPod Touch.

In the past month I have had a friend buy an iPhone for herself, this is the the first time she has had any thing that came from Apple. She asked me about the iPhone and what I thought about it, that made me give it a closer look. I try hard to not just let how I feel about something be the only info that is used in passing on info to someone when I am asked a question.

I was asked to go with my friend as she went to get the iPhone, so I did just that, off to the Apple store in Salt Lake City. We found them helpful to her needs and when we had all to she wanted to get and started the process of paying for it all, we ran into a snag. Now she was an At&t customer and her contract had come to an end, because of AT&T not being customer friendly she ended up on the phone in the store with them, after some time she got it all worked out. She now had her iPhone, she loves her phone and uses it as her only phone. Now I like to say as someone that does not have AT&T for my phone I am not sure I could change to them after seeing what she had to do to buy a new phone.

As I have helped her with her iPhone and how to do this and that on it, I found that I was no longer thinking that I would not want one. I would want one, but the things I like the most on her iPhone was not the phone or the 3G or the camera. It turns out that it was the part that is what the iPod Touch is, the Wifi, how contacts works with address book and the calendar work with iCal. That is what I thought was the best part of this. I found the touch interface much easier to get use to than it first appeared. The size and shape feels natural in the hand and as far as making phone calls, it natural and the call quality is better than other cell phones I have used in the past. Now keep in mind that I am still carrying a LG 9400 as my cell phone.

I had a new Mac Book Pro to look at for the last few days. With Apples new design of the Mac Book and the Mac Book Pro they have moved the two closer to one another than ever before. The case is not only nice to look at, but feels solid. I have felt that both have been great choices for a long time. I for one have always liked the Mac Book Pro better because of its case, but with the redesign I am not sure that will hold true. Now the one that I have had to use the last few days was the $1999.00, with the default setup that Apple ships with.

But if you are about to get yourself a new laptop and are not using it to play games or higher end video editing, I would look at the new Mac Book. The case is made the same way as the Mac Book Pro and with the other updates it is the one I would get for myself.

As for using the Mac Book Pro I found that I enjoyed it. There was nothing that jumped out at me other than the track pad and Apple has come out and said that they are working on an update to fix that. It would some times not see that I was moving my fingers, but I would just pick them up and put them back down and it always started working again. With as much as Apple has changed on the new Mac Book Pro I say that they did this update with a lot of thought going in to it.

So the bottom line is that I found this new Mac Book Pro to be more than what I believed it would be. I believe you would not go wrong buying the new Mac Book Pro or the new Mac Book.

Over the past few weeks I have not been writing much because of my health and trying to get things done. I will be writing more in the next few days and will try to keep up on thing as the year come to an end.
